With one month to go before my 10 week trip to D.C., I have decided to set up a blog for my friends and family to keep track of my experience. I am anxiously counting the days until I get to depart for our nation's capital city!

I realize only a few of you know where I will be interning so I will briefly tell you about that.
I was brought on as an intern with Swanson Communications. Swanson is a small PR firm in DC that is the lead firm for Boys and Girls Club of America, Salvation Army, HBO Sports and many others. They were also the lead firm for the Oscar De La Hoya v. Floyd Mayweather boxing match last summer and we will be doing the rematch this summer. This will be the largest project that I spend my time on. Apparently there will be a press tour consisting of seven cities in ten days to promote the fight. I'm looking forward to this.
